A Little Fish Swims into a New Home
May 2025
It’s always a bittersweet feeling packing up one of our favourite pieces and today our loved and missed! 'Yin Yang Fish' made its way to a beautiful new home at Nissarana Gallery in Richmond, Victoria.
This marks a special moment for us at Home with Etta, with our work now being exhibited among a curated collection of inspiring Australian art. Nissarana Gallery is known for its stunning presentation and thoughtful curation and we’re honoured to have a piece sitting alongside such incredible talent.
They also have a sister gallery in Noosa, which shares the same dedication to showcasing distinctive and meaningful art.
As an artist, it’s rewarding to see something that began in the quiet of my studio now hanging in a space where it can be experienced and appreciated up close. While we’ll miss our little fishies, we’re excited for them to find their next chapter surrounded by colour, light, and fellow creatives.
For those who are new to Home with Etta, I’m Kobie, a Melbourne-based artist and the founder of this homewares and art brand. After years in corporate life, I made the leap into full-time creative work, driven by a love of coastal living, texture and retro design. My pieces are known for their earthy palettes and layered, tactile finishes, usually with a nod to nostalgia and the natural world.
This moment with Nissarana feels like both a milestone and a motivator, a reminder of why I started and how much beauty can come from following your creative pull.
If you’re in Melbourne, I’d love for you to visit the gallery and see Yin Yang Fish in the flesh! And be sure to take in the rest of the inspiring works on display while you’re there.
Thanks, as always, for being part of the journey.
Kobie
